This is my University work section all work from my BA (hon's) Degree Web Design is displayed here for all years.
For this brief, working in groups we had to create a sound broadcasting file, capable of being hosted on the internet and listened to by visitors, we also had to make a cue sheet/script for the project.
Due to the University not giving us an online version of the full brief I cant link to it here, sorry.
To make a sound documentary on the theme of an online story mimicking miami vice kind of show on the TV in the mid 80's, this wasn't our original idea, that was of a radio interview/phone-in of a discussion about the future in 200 years and what it would hold, with an expert's opinion on the matter.
With a very large group we set about trying to fit everyone in to the project, several parts, which were scripted by James Willock had to be filled for the vocals. Once we get all the recording done we shall then progress to editing it and cutting some music for ambience and backing songs.
To help get some insight into online sound recordings/documentary's we decided to take a look at the following web site.
Because we changed our idea at the final hour it meant we didn't have much time left for editing, the original file was very quiet so I messed about with it in some editing software and got the sound level back up without losing quality or gaining noise.
Our main problem were, a group that was too big, meaning it was difficult to assign jobs to everyone in the group, two smaller groups would of been a better for everyone. Also the volume quality of the end product wasn't great and I had to mess with it to make it listenable.
Some people put a lot more effort in than others to be honest and of those I would personally like to thank James Willock for his part in the project, by far he put more effort in, so James, thank you.
