This is my University work section all work from my BA (hon's) Degree Web Design is displayed here for all years.
We were set the task of creating a website themed on a treasure hunt as a group project, within the site we had to pick a story or theme that would set riddles for the user to work out to solve, within the riddles we had to make use of several social network types, i.e. Facebook, Flickr & You Tube

The group I was in was "A" with Leon Sampson & Sam Topham, we quickly decided on creating on our story (details of such are purposely being held as to not give anything away before users get to play the game) and theme for the site, we needed to create a whole story background from scratch (slightly borrowing from a true story from a pub in Hull named "Ye Olde White Harte") we are also making a Blog to record all progress week by week as part of the brief requirements.
Using text, video and sound to unfold the story, we decided to give the user the best experience possible with a multitude of media types, wanting a register & contact forms we need a PHP/database driven site.
To help get some insight into social networking & treasure hunt website's we decided to take a look at the following web sites.
We quickly decided to have weekly meetings were we could have something to eat, while talking over the progress and possible paths to take the project, fine tuning the story and riddles. We found this a great way to create inspiration and communication, along with these meetings we also had several stay overs at each others houses working on the project solid for several straight days.
Were going to have a blog, emails and take minutes of the meetings, we should always have a good communication level and records of previous ideas.
My overall opinion of our work is good, as a team we worked well together, made everything seem so much easier, each person had their own strength and we capitalised on this. The videos were good, the website and songs also. Id like to thank Sam and Leon for all their hard work in the team and hope to be teamed up with them again if another group project comes around.
If I was to be picky at any part of the project it would be the riddles for the website, we enjoyed making them but we seemed hard that aspect hard. Of the video's, we did slip up slightly by forgetting to stage helpful hints within the scenes. But that's being very picky of both.
