Game Rankings.com has a fairly clear main page in which you can choose the game platform from the navigation section to the left. It seems cluttered in places which can make it hard for novices to the internet to understand what all the content is useful for. The site is a bit condensed and as a result most of the data seems bunch together putting slight strain on the user while reading the reviews.
It is easy to find a game via the links or using the quick search box, which is available through-out the site. My rating for this site is 3 stars. |

IGN.com, ok to start you get a certain delay in the load up of the page, which is slightly annoying taking into account the speeds of broadband these days. This aside the site is very clear and functional, being able to clearly see the navigation links and being able to read the font without squinting helps give IGN.com a more favorable rating. The only negative is within the site design (graphics) my opinion is that its very outdated, has the effect of an old website template design you would have been happy with around 10 years ago.
My rating for IGN.com is 4 stars |

Gamespot.com, unlike IGN.com this site loads up relatively quick thus keeping your interest switched on, site design is of a good standard and navigation is easy to use with the obvious search option available from all pages. Good review of games with a great scoring system where the admin put their ratings up and also let registered users give their rating out of ten in real time. The use of colours works well and the graphics are functional while still keeping up to date.
Probably the best site of all reviewed so my rating is 5 stars :D |

Gamezone.com, is very similar to Gamespot.com in design and functionality, subtle differences are in the dimension of the sites, Gamezone.com uses more of the users screen to get more info into the home page, which helps with having to navigate to this information elsewhere within the site. While using the site I tried to view a couple of video's but was unable to watch them, now that could have been due to the Universities access protocols or an error with the site in review.
All in all with a kind of copied design and some functionality issues my start rating is 4 stars. |
