This is my University work section all work from my BA (hon's) Degree Web Design is displayed here for all years.

Unit Brief

For this brief we had to create a 60 second sound file in the style of an advertisement, then convert it to an Mp3 file to make it accessible for the web.

Proposal

We where put into groups of 3-4 I myself was in a Group with Leon & Sam, we decided straight away on a Radio concert advert giving listeners the chance to win tickets to the concert/festival.

We want to try our best to get a "like for like" resemblance, from our attempt, to professional one's you hear on the radio.

We will also be attempting a slightly comic version of the above, just to see how it comes out as a back-up.

Our approach to the brief is to, listen to some real radio adverts for something like a concert and to get advice from the tutor in editing skills.

Research

To help get some insight into photography we decided to take a look at the following web sites.

Planning

We will be using "Garage Band™" for creating sound loops solely for the background and using "Adobe Audition™" to edit the sound files into the final piece. We also hope to use college equipment to record our own voice-over's for the advert.

The final piece of work is one hand picked by ourselves of two final pieces we ended up with, both files can listened to below in the "Final Piece" section.

Below is our cue sheet used for the creation of the final piece so we knew when to cue elements in the correct place.

Review

I was happy with the end result of our work, although we didn't have lots of time to spend making this simple brief work, I believe we did well with the time allotted and equipment at hand, the sound file has good sound levels, is easy for the listener to understand the concept of the sound clip and what its about.

If I were to change any part of the final piece I would try to make it a bit more of an impact on the listener, making sure they stayed in full focus through-out the entire sound clip.
