Hot topic for more than just the people of America, cos as we all know; or should know, is that the US still effects a lot of what happens in the world outside its own borders.
So maybe more of us should gain an intrest in the run to the elections!
So the contenders? on the Democrat side is Barack Obama and on the Republicans side is John McCain, first ill talk about the Republicans and John McCain.
Republicans, well that’s who is running the US at the moment, yes, Mr Bush. I’ll be blunt I am not a fan of the Republicans and I’ll explain why… From all the high placed people with this party ive seen and read about they all seem far too much engrosed within the writings of a book created a long time ago, yes that would be the bible!
The Iraq war, should ever have happenned and would not of if the Democrats where in office (something that should of happenned, but bush somehow managed to cause confusion with the polls and blag a win). The vast majority of the world hate America and have very good reasons also, holding back for years on the kyoto treaty, Iraq war, war on terror & financial troubles have all grown to cause hatred.
Now onto the candidate, McCain, firstly 72 years old!!! past his prime both in fitness both mental and physical and his wisdom, clearly a person who would impose his own beliefs on a country and not the correct way round of asking his employers “What do you want?” Somewhere down the path a very long time ago, and im not just talking about america here, leaders have lost the key fundamental behind being a leader, yes you have to be strong minded and willed but in all you are appointed as the leader by your peers and must do what you can to make life good for the people who put you there. But I digress, Relgion is out dated and far too impeeding a belief to have back in power running such a powerful country in the world, Look to reason and intelligence within your leader and not one whos beliefs are brought onto them from an old book.
Ok so now the turn of the Republicans.. Im sure by now you have realised if I were American I would vote for the right Democrat to lead, I say right as its not fundamentaly the group/organisation that people look to but the individual itself.
I like the look of Obama, a man in his prime on all fronts, isnt swayed by outdated story books and seems exactly what America needs, obviously a clear stance against the Iraq war certainly helps gain a good following of the intelligent fraternity and that is something every country should look too, intelligence and reason is the key to prosperity and not in military or religious views/opinions.
I do think Obama’s team has made a clear mistake in not having Hilary Clinton as the running mate, she would certainly of secured a great sector of voters that Obama would more than likely find hard to catch. On top of that are the clear and obvious reasons that she is an intelligent clear thinking woman who knows how to lead, yes she wouldnt be my choice of president simply due to her backing the Iraq War but as a Vice, she is more than capeable and would of made a great pairing with Obama, perhaps Obama thought having a rival close would hinder his own position in the media? but I say keep your friends close but your rivals/enemies closer.
In a nutshell, Obama is the definate choice for the world and America, lets just hope the US can show the intelligence level of its nation rather than the religious bible bashing redneck hill billy side thats had power for too long.
